A New Light On Self Improvement

The Power of Self Improvement

Every so often those thing right in your face are just not recognised and seen for what they are. Put your hand up right in front of your eyes and you won’t be able to focus and see the detail. You recognize somethings there, but what? You can’t see the forest for the trees.

Zoom out and…

There comes a moment in most of our lives when we are willing for change. It could be owing to something dramatic happening, such as the loss of a loved one, a swift illness, or a job loss. For others it could be just waking up to the same thing time and again and deciding that enough is enough.

Self Improvement Tip

There’s a proverb, “When the student is ready, the teacher is there”.

With all the information and resources available on the Internet, there’s plenty that will aid unlock that power within: The power of self improvement. The crunch comes when that which is staring us perfectly in our face is seen in clarity for the first time.

Take the frog principle as an example:

What happens when a frog is positioned in a container of cold water on the stove?

Nothing…

This is his setting. Turn up the heat slowly and he is cooked alive because he doesn’t notice the gradual change in temperature. A sudden painful experience is different. A swift jolt that snaps him out of that daze and into life’s certainty.

We learn our education when we go through sudden pain. For the most part we only Distinguish the warning signs and signals when things get tough, hard or sore. When do we take in that we need to change our diet and eating habits? When our favourite jeans and shirts don’t fit! When do we stop eating chocolates and sweets? When our teeth start rotting! When do we take in that we need to stop smoking? When we hear the doctor say, “Your heading for a heart attack!”

In the main, it’s these types of events that knocks the first dominoes into a cycle or procession of events. That lead to unlocking and developing our self improvement. Change is not stress-free and is usually resisted. Nevertheless If we don’t do something; until it’s too late, change then becomes even more dreadful and painful.

Change happens, like it or not. At some point or another in our lives, we are all going to undergo different turning points– and we need to face the decision to self improve, to build the power within for self development. Not because the world says so, but because we comprehend it’s for our own good.

The Power of Self Improvement Continued

Contented people don’t want change.

Why rock the boat?

I read somewhere, “In order to walk on water, you first need to get out of the boat!” Self improvement comes through deciding to take action to improving your life.  Unlocking your self improvement power means unlocking yourself from that state of mind “Its just the way I am!” to; things can be altered. No need to fear and resist change. Our minds are programmable resembling computers. We must determine on programing new habits.

Jena continually tells everyone that she doesn’t mesh in with the crowd. She heard this over and time again, from her mom, dad, sister and teacher. Over the years, that is what Jena learnt to believe. She truly believes this story. And what’s the end result? Every time a crowd pops over to their house, or at school– she tends to move back, shy away and retreat. Jena didn’t only believed in her story, she lived it.

You are the author of your story. You are in Power and you get to create it. The capacity to choose is yours.

Self improvement generally gets bad press, on the contrary if we look at things in a different light, we might have a greater chance of enjoying the whole procedure of constructive change. Repeated sessions at the gym would result to a healthier life style, mind and body. Studying as a substitute of watching TV educates and advances your prospects. Late nights out parting with friends under mines that work ethic.

And just when you are enjoying the whole process of unlocking the power of self improvement, you’ll recognize that you’re beginning to enjoy the fruits of those decisions.
